The Spar is a lightweight sling pack built to carry daily essentials. One of our most compact bags, it can be worn in a single strap sling configuration or converted into a backpack with the optional harness.
This Ultra edition is constructed from Challenge Ultraā¢ 400, an advanced UHMWPE composite fabric engineered for exceptional durability, abrasion resistance, and waterproof performance. Ultra 400 delivers an outstanding strength to weight ratio, combining the performance characteristics of technical expedition equipment with a refined everyday carry form factor. Ultra 400 is approximately 20% lighter than comparable 400D fabrics while offering significantly greater abrasion resistance and tear strength.
Design details include weatherproof construction, a magnetic FidlockĀ® closure, YKK AquaguardĀ® zippers, and a dual access 8-liter main compartment with a microfleece-lined sleeve. The padded back panel and shoulder pad feature breathable AriapreneĀ® foam for all-day comfort.
In sling mode, the Spar can be worn on the front or back of the body, with entry through the top flap or side zip. The sling strap includes a removable ventilated shoulder pad and can be upgraded with our quick-adjust messenger shoulder strap assembly. The side zip provides access to the main compartment without removing the pack.
The Spar is ArkivĀ® system compatible and can be combined with the R6 Pack to create a versatile travel system.
